About this Celtic Warrior 3D character project
The brief was a hero-level historical character built to AAA fidelity: a Celtic warrior with layered armour, weathered weapons and skin and beard detail that survives close-up camera angles. The reference concept by Jian Li was densely detailed, so a lot of the early work went into resolving 2D ambiguities into clean 3D mechanism.
Our scope spanned silhouette and proportion blockout, high-poly sculpt with subdivision detail, retopology, UV unwrap, normal and AO baking, PBR material authoring, and a final render pass with three lighting setups. Final delivery included the character in T-pose plus a turntable for promotional or portfolio use.
