High-Poly 3D Vehicle Modeling for Wishlist: Armored Warfare

The batch spans active-service hardware (Leopard 1 and 2 variants, FlakPz Gepard, Centauro), Cold War medium tanks, modern IFV platforms and a mix of wheeled APCs. Each unit was authored to factory-spec proportions, with mechanism reference checked against gun cradle, turret ring, suspension geometry and engine bay layout.

Our scope ran from technical reference gathering through to the final clay turntables that Wishlist QA uses for sign-off. Asset readiness covered everything the AAA pipeline expects: clean topology on the high-poly, mesh-aware UV planning, and a paint-and-weathering pass that holds up to camera close-ups in promo materials.

Every unit started from blueprint-level reference and a blockout that locked overall proportions before detail work. From there the high-poly was built in subdivisions: hull primary forms, turret and gun assembly, wheel and track suspension, then the bolts, welds and grates pass that gives the model its weight on screen.

Once high-poly was approved we moved into low-poly retopology, UV unwrapping and bake. Textures were authored as PBR with weathering layers tuned per unit so a parade-day Leopard reads differently from a battle-worn T-72. The pipeline is the same one our 3D modeling services team runs for any hard-surface heavy contract.

Armored Warfare players read silhouettes from a third-person camera, so vehicle identity has to lock at low pixel counts as well as in promo zoom. We benchmarked each unit against in-game screenshots from shipped tanks and matched parameters: gun mantlet thickness, turret face angle, road-wheel count and spacing, exhaust placement.

Final review passes compared the new asset against three references: factory blueprints, museum photography and the existing in-game roster. Anything that drifted from one of the three got flagged and revised. The result is a vehicle that sits inside Armored Warfare existing tech tree without visible style breaks.
