Animal characters for a match-3 park builder
In Park Town the animals are what the player fills the restored park with, so every species has to read instantly as a friendly, collectible character rather than a nature illustration. That brief shaped the whole cast. Heads are slightly enlarged, eyes are big and expressive, and limbs are simplified, while each silhouette stays close enough to the real animal that a player recognises a wombat, a pelican or a kangaroo at a glance.
Several models pair a parent with its young: a kangaroo with a joey, a wombat with a cub, a dolphin with a calf. The pairs add a small story to the park scene and give the roster warmth without adding a separate character to design, model and maintain.
The cast spans very different body types - long-necked, four-legged, winged and finned - yet the giraffe and the penguin share the same eye style and colour treatment while keeping their own anatomy. That shared treatment is what makes 16 species read as one family.
