Pathfinder game UI/UX design and isometric CRPG map art for Owlcat Games

The 16 assets cover map illustrations, panel and frame art, and supporting UI elements across the Pathfinder isometric CRPG. Map illustrations carry hand-painted texture and decorative cartography language so the world reading matches the tabletop reference base of the franchise. UI panel work follows the existing Pathfinder frame system so new elements drop in alongside shipped panels without breaking layout grid alignment.

We delivered each asset as a layered file with paint, frame, and ornament groups separated, which lets the Owlcat team adjust palette or decorative density without rebuilding source art. UI elements were authored at multiple resolutions so the assets read cleanly across resolution scaling and accessibility text-size settings.

Pipeline ran rough composition, paint pass, and detail finishing under Owlcat Games review at each gate. We worked from the Pathfinder visual bible for palette, framing language, and decorative density so new elements stay in register with the shipped UI library. Map illustrations referenced the existing world cartography reading so the new locations sit on the same painted-map style as the live game.

Batched delivery let map and UI assets ship as coordinated content drops. Linking with game background design craft on the broader Pathfinder pipeline, we held a backlog of reusable parchment plates, ornament motifs, and decorative borders that the Owlcat team can pull into future expansions for faster turnaround.

Painterly style with muted earth palette, warm parchment plates, and ornamental framing language. Map illustrations carry visible brushwork and aged paper texture so the cartography reads as part of the in-world Pathfinder lore rather than as a UI decoration. UI elements use restrained gold and bronze accents over dark frames, which keeps interface readability strong against the dense CRPG inventory and dialogue layouts.

Color rules stayed inside the Pathfinder franchise saturation range so the new assets sit cleanly with shipped UI elements across the isometric CRPG screens. Decorative density on map illustrations and UI ornaments was tuned to leave breathing room for tooltip overlays and dialogue panels without competing for attention against active gameplay text.
